Dream Cars Yay or Nay - Ferrari Episode

This item was filled under Cars

If you’re ambitious like I am, and you have been thinking “If I become rich someday, I’m gonna buy one of those expensive super cars”. After a few debates with friends and people I meet, I decided to write a post about my opinions on each super car you may want.

You may ask why, there are tons of reviews out there about these super cars. The reason why I would write such a post is I’m looking at it from aspects of owning such cars as a successful person, style, and how you live up to it. It’s not exactly a car review…

Ferrari F430

This is very likely the very first car you think of when it comes to the term “super car”. The F430 has a gorgeous body style, it doesn’t have all the angles and shapes like a Lamborghini does, but it stands out there just like a super car should. Interior is civilized, although it isn’t all that fancy like a Bentley or even a Lexus, but hey, when you’re driving it, you don’t care! You’ll just enjoy the thrill and the music from the engine right behind your ears. It’s a proper racing car for the road.

Priced at roughly $168k, and you’re looking at $250 - $300k with extra options here and there, well priced and is worth every penny. This is my personal favorite of all, and I’m gonna get mine…… in two tone black & white with the Novitec mods, sweeeeeeeeet

Lastly I must say it styled just about perfect, not too sharp like a Lamborghini, so you worry less about jealous folks doing something nasty to your baby =d

Ferrari 612 Staglietti

Having more money sitting in the bank, you might say you wanna go for a high end Ferrari 612, instead of the entry level F430. You could…… but why?

I mean, it’s not bad looking, but it just doesn’t stand out like a super car should. I’m not an attention whore but I wouldn’t pay hundreds of thousands buying a car many people would see it as just another car on the street.

And then it’s the nature of this car, although it’s aligned properly but the engine sits in the front…. That’s not so appealing like the F430 showing it’s big fat red-colored v8 at the back. That’s a big minus.

Bottom line - it does perform like a Ferrari, it has 4 seats allowing you to squeeze your hot wife and two kids in when you cruise, and it has a big trunk for your golf clubs…. but from the very instant feeling, it’s NOT a Ferrari. So to me? Nay for this one.

Ferrari California

The newly launched baby Ferrari, the California

It’s a comfy, pretty looking, hard top convertible (this is the most attractive thing on this car), front engine double clutch (smooth shifting)……. car… which I think is the perfect Ferrari - For my girlfriend. It’s really just a ….. car. Well, a nice car with the Ferrari badge, the story ends here.

Yay for my girlfriend, Nay for my pocket. I would rather pay just $30k for an Audi TT which she likes just as much ;)

Enzo Ferrari

The most expensive Ferrari you can possibly buy today, but, BIG NO for me.
The 1 million dollar price tag is quite scary, driving this car is scary, it’s like taking 1 million dollar cash with you on the street and the styling of the car just shouts “HEY I HAVE 1 MILLION DOLLARS CASH HERE” . You sure will get a lot of attentions….. mostly from the jealous ones =)
Then it comes to driving the car, you’ll probably get to take it out for a spin 3, 4 times a week if you get lucky, unless you think you’re cool enough to take an Enzo to grocery shopping, or drive a cross a street in a ghetto town
To me, an Enzo Ferrari is more like a bottle of 1982 Lafite, it should sit in the garage like part of the expensive collections. And no, I’m not buying it even if I can afford it - there are lots of better choices within that price range which I’m gonna write about in my next post.
